The Joshin Electric Railway Class DeKi-1 electric locomotives were built in 1924 by Siemens-Schuckertwerke in Germany, with three units (#1 - #3) imported to Japan. The locomotive's mechanical (body shells) components were manufactured by Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg M. Although these locomotives have since retired from active service, there is a goal to preserve them in operational condition, supported by government subsidies.
