N Scale Locomotive Intermountain SD40-2 Milwaukee Rd# 149 & 164 Lot of 2

Up for your consideration are this pair of SD40-2's by InterMountain. These are exceptionally well done and are flawless in appearance and performance.

Released in 2017, these are like new in box and I opened them up to test and take pictures for this ad. They have been thoroughly vetted and tested on my large N scale Layout. They performed exceptionally, run smooth, quiet and track perfectly. They perform very well at low speed.

I did notice one locomotive Cab #164 is a bit faster than its mate Cab #149 but when lashed together in a consist of two that performed excellent in that configuration as well as independently. They look beautiful on the track when powered and the lights are on. All lights work and the number boards on the cab light up as well. There are no ditch lights on these units. They are currently DC but are ready for a DCC decoder and they have a sound box with speaker on the bottom of the unit. I have not seen many Milwaukee Road SD40-2's being offered in this forum or any other N scale locomotive trading site. So these are somewhat hard to come by. I was on the fence about offering these up from my collection my I simply have too many locomotives not getting track time. I test all the locomotives I sell on my large n scale layout rather than perform a simple bench test which will only prove they power up and not how they perform. I run them at various speeds at a minimum of 10 minutes both directions to ensure that they operate as they should and there is no loud or squealing noises.
