Condition: C9: Brand New condition. Box / Condition: WITH BOX. Description: Lionel 6-8406 New York Central Semi-Scale 4-6-4 Hudson #783 Steam Locomotive. Electronic Mighty Sound of Steam with Whistle. Mighty Sound of Steam IS NOT a digital sound system like RailSounds.

It is an electronically generated "Chuff" sound. This model of engine was VERY heavy, somewhat slow by design and a bit of a loud "growler".

It requires a powerful transformer like a ZW to run well. Looks to have been test run.

We have tested this engine for operation and sound. This is a large, heavy box. As it has not been used in many years we recommend lubrication of motor, gears and axle bushings before use.

Diecast boiler, frame and tender body. Mighty Sound of Steam with Whistle. Puffing smoke unit (these smoke units do not produce a lot of smoke).
