Greetings, what you see here is an HO Scale Tenshodo AT&SF 4-6-4 Hudson steam locomotive, that has recently been introduced to fresh air and sunlight after a number of decades of slumbering within a wooden crate in my grandfather's attic. This lovely gem was built and bought in Japan in either the 1960s or'70s by my late grandfather and has seen limited layout runtime in more recent years. The model has been lubricated with light oil on the drive axles bearings and has been test run back and forth repeatedly to chase away cobwebs. The drive shaft sleeve connecting the motor shaft to the axle worm gear shaft has previously split and been repaired with super glue , and at the present time ensures the locomotive is fully functional, though a replacement may be warranted by the end user for peace of mind. The locomotive and tender are both in excellent physical shape with no missing or broken parts to speak of, though a few bits like that front left step may be bent from long term storage on its sides. The wheel treads have little-if-any corrosion as this unit has seen very little track time. I desire that this old timer end up in a better home than a wood crate, therefore this locomotive be As-Is!
